interview
The woman who called me earlier this week called back to set up an interview for today. I had a marathon 12:45-3:00 super-big-company interview. This was the first interview I’ve had with a major corporation… The biggest until now were Taylor and Anderson, which are *tiny* next to One America. The building I was in is among the tallest downtown and takes up an entire city block. =) Needless to say, the interview was quite a formal process. A three-page application, an hour-long session with HR, then an interview with the department head. I’ll let you know if I make the cut for second interviews.
The most interesting thing is why I was the first person interviewed for the position – turns out I had the same major (BA of Music Systems) as the girl who vacated the position. The VP said I was the only other person she’d even heard of who had that major. =)
Wow – Congrats on the interview. They must be really interested – in my experience they don’t “waste” that much time on people they’re not really interested in. Don’t forget to update! My interest is piqued!
Believe me… I’ll be shouting it to the world if I end up with this job. It’s amazing, exactly what I want, and in a company that won’t disappear from under my feet.
