here I am

arrived

June18

We’ve arrived! We’re here in South Carolina, enjoying the ocean breeze and the company of good friends and family. =) We stretched our legs, then headed to dinner at one of my mom’s favorite places, then came back to start the relaxing. I showered, Melissa napped, Dave read, Leah played with her computer, and Mom, Georgiana and Bill went for a walk.

I have been sitting on the balcony for the last hour doing some catch-up work, and wanted to post a picture of our view from Bill and Georgiana’s 8th-floor oceanfront condo:

Wow! How peaceful! I love waterfront places. I just don’t like traveling a lot to get there. Enjoy your stay. It’s good to hear from you!

We used to travel a lot on summer vacations – wherever in the country we happened to be stationed, we’d see all the sites you could drive to and back from in the three months we had off… When we lived in Panama, that meant spending a lot of time at different beaches. Isthmuses are so neat! Both the Atlantic and the Pacific so close that we learned to tell the difference between the oceans – taste, temperature, etc. =) I love oceans!

    Hey Tara,
Congrats on the job, and welcome back to the East Coast. Way to not say hi when you were 5 minutes from me, meanie-head :)
Glad to hear you got to spend some quality time with the fam and I hope you enjoy the beach!
God is good and I pray He will continue to bless you both in all of your endeavors! And yes, warm salt water, swooshed in the mouth. Or for Dave now, just go play in the ocean. it’ll do the trick!

    Hugs and prayers

Sarah… We’re coming back through on Friday. =) Wanna get together for coffee? I won’t have tons of time (my dad’s getting back from Hawaii on Friday and I’ll have a hard time getting away for longer than an hour or so), but of course I want to see you. =) I haven’t forgotten about you, but it did slip my mind that you’re back in Waynesboro… I’m used to thinking of you as farther away. =)

    Tara,
I was giving you a hard time. I’m seeing Amanda B at some point on Friday after work (making dinner etc). So I could probaly sneak away for an hour or we can both join you. Whichever you’d prefer.

I’ll email you my number so that you can give me a call to figure it out :) Yes, I wish I were farther away….*sigh.

Thank you for your reply, I can’t figure out how to set up sidebar#1 ect and can’t find where they are listed

Pete – you just needed to activate the Widgets plugin. =) It’s done now, so go ahead and try to follow the rest of the directions (go to Presentation, and you should see a Sidebar Widgets tab now). Ask if you have any more questions!
