I have observed a number of dog training classes and what always unsettles me is the number of dog owners who are tense, agitated, fearful and uncertain. Remaking our own emotional state into something calm, and being a still point for your dog is the first step in training. Once the dog respects and draws comfort in you as someone all-together and worthly of leadership they will do wonders. Training begins with the trainer convincing the dog that he is indeed leader material and can be trusted.
