So. Went to work today. Rebelled a tiny bit by wearing sneakers. Didn’t matter much – I don’t actually see clients. I sat behind my desk all morning and had in-department meetings all afternoon. Was feeling pretty smug about – and comfortable because of – my tennis shoes.
While I was wearing this shirt backward. All day long.
I pulled at my collar all day, thinking, “Man, this shirt is tight around the neck all of a sudden!”
*sigh*
We used to have competitions around the office to see who would get caught wearing their shirt inside out more. I had a coworker whose wife would hang them up inside out so he wouldn’t have the shoulder nipples. He lost a lot.
hahahaha! I seriously laughed aloud when I read that. =) Poor dude.
Better than walking around with your pants unzipped.
I’d lose that one – but only when in a suit. I’m not sure if it is the combination of trying to remember the tie, the belt, and all the extra buttons on the pants or if it is just some sort of subconscious rebellion against formality but I’ve found my fly down way more in a suit than at any other time. I’ve had to be extra careful before job interviews because of it.
I remember I was at this professional conference one time and decided to sit in the front row of a presentation because I wanted to ask a bunch of questions to distinguish myself for later when I planned to approach them about employment. Well, I looked down during the first few minutes of the presentation and realized my fly was down. Didn’t ask a question, didn’t approach for a job, but I bet I made an impression.
