@Chalupa: My old schoolmates have been kinder to me than yours have to you. I'm actually enjoying seeing how people turned out. Forget HS reunions - this is much less stressful. The thing that surprised me: some of these people have turned into people that I really would have enjoyed. People who, if they lived anywhere near, might be my friends.

@Jim: DOND is fascinating to David, he says, because it's a numbers game. He likes to tell the contestants when it's mathematically better to take the deal vs pick another case. *sigh* I DO like your idea about cable, though. We've got a great TV, but wow... non-fuzzy, non-network, actual digital (or, gasp, *HD*) cable would be so great...

Don't knock the Deal or no Deal, it is significantly better than some "game shows" on tv. Would you rather him be watching Moment of Truth? "Really, she will answer the question that will destroy her marriage!?! How fun!" You also have to understand a game that relies only on luck would appeal to those whose grasp on general strategies is tenuous at best (sorry Dave, I couldn't resist).
Forget shoes, get cable and the fanciest tv your overtime pay can afford. BSG starts tomorrow!

I've gotten several facebook friend requests from high school people. People I can't remember ever talking to. So I say, "yes" just to not be a jerk. Then I get like 5 app requests per day from them. This has been going on for a month.
