dusty
Check this out – this is a picture from a sharp camera. It’s all gray and smoky looking because it was gray and smoky in that room!
David was sanding the wall in the bathroom (years of thick layers of paint and some hole-patching made the walls very bumpy). We’d taken off the door to prime it and paint the frame, and forgot to put it back on before it was sanded… oops!
Thick layer of wall dust covering EVERYTHING – including me and the dogs. =) In fact, Lindy had been laying on a heater grate in another room – when she got up and walked in, she was two-toned. Left side, normal. Right side, a few shades lighter.
morning
I woke up tired and down this morning – my face looking ravaged, my eyes were sore, and my body was sluggish.
I wandered around the hotel room for a few minutes, then walked to the window. Something about the very bright sunlight drew me. I put my forehead on the window, and found myself looking down at this:
Someone stepped out that enormous smiley face – and it changed my day.
Ramblings. Musings. A way to keep in touch with my scattered far-and-wide family. Don’t take any of it personally – chances are, my world doesn’t revolve around you. =)
